The Defence Headquarters has revealed names of leaders and commanders of terrorists killed by troops across all theatres of operations in the first quarter of 2024.
Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba made the revelation, at a press conference held at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja. General Buba reeled out the names of some of the terrorists and how they were neutralized by the military.
The Director, DMO, further highlighted the activities of troops in the first quarter of 2024, saying 2,351 terrorists were neutralized, with 2,308 others arrested and 1,241 kidnapped hostages rescued.
He also indicated how onslaughts by the ground troops in various operations led to the successes achieved in the quarter under review.
The military says it is determined to win the fight against insurgency and other criminal elements in line with its statutory responsibilities to ensure the safety of lives, properties and territorial integrity of the nation.
