Gov. Dikko Radda of Katsina state is seeking the support of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to help tackle the challenges of insecurity affecting tertiary institutions in the north west state.
Radda made this known when he led the state delegation on a working visit to TETFund headquarters in Abuja.
The Governor who raised alarm over the rising trend of insecurity in katsina schools, where lot of students had been kidnapped,said the support from the Fund would enable the state provide adequate learning environment in the institutions.
Responding, the Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Sonny Echono affirmed to the impact of insecurity on all spheres of the economy, assuring that the fund will prioritise all the trouble spots as it affects the nations public Tertiary Institutions with measures in place to address the issues.
Echono assured the Governor that Katsina is among states in the fund’s security intervention programme.
