Nigeria Government Outline Strategies To Deal with Environmental Pollution.

The world environmental day is set aside by the United Nations to encourage global awareness and action to protect the environment. The theme of this year’s edition is ” Beat Air Pollution”. The theme was chosen inline with a statistics released by the World Health Organisation (WHO) indicating that about 7 million people worldwide die prematurely every year from air pollution. Worried about this trend,the Nigerian government in a ceremony to commemorate the day in Abuja expressed commitment to deal with issues of environmental pollution in the country.
