Drug Abuse, Major Cause of Road Crashes- CORSAN.

The need for Nigerians, especially road users to desists from abusing drugs, alcohol and other illicit substances has once again been re-emphasized.

The President Coalition of Road Safety NGOs in Nigeria,(CORSAN) Prosper Okafor, gave the indication at a press conference in Abuja, in collaboration with Civil Society on Mental Health and Drug Demand Reduction.

Okafor who noted that, substance abuse inhibit human thinking and mental well being said the menace contributes majorly to road crashes.

The CORSAN president further attributes road traffic injuries as the leading causes of death and disability worldwide.

The good news however is that the Coalition outlined various interventions and activities to change the narrative and restore sanity on the highways.
