Insurgency: Nigerian Government To Enhance Humanitarian Respond Time
Since the advent of insurgency about a decade ago in North Eastern Nigeria, about 74 humanitarian workers including Hauwa Liman and Saifura Hussaini have lost their lives in the course of providing humanitarian services to internally displaced persons. This is as over 2million people had flee their homes and livelihood leaving the government with no option to set up IDP camps. Considering the services these volunteers render especially in the north east, the Nigerian government has indicated plans to support humanitarian response goals in the country.
