Nigeria’s Electoral Body Set To Announce New Date For Bayelsa Governorship Election.

The Bayelsa State Government wants the Independent National Electoral Commission to postpone the Governorship election scheduled for November 2nd, 2019. The state deputy Governor, Rear Admiral John Jonah (retired) made the demand when he led a high power delegation made up of traditional and religious leaders to the Inec headquarters in Abuja. The retired Naval chief said the state request is premised on the fact that the scheduled day clashes with its yearly Thanksgiving service.
