More than 176, 000 candidates sat for the 202399 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Mock Examination nationwide.
According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board JAMB, the examination which took place in 726 centres was organised for candidates who registered for 2023 UTME and indicated interest to sit for the mock exercise in preparation for UTME proper.
At the Global Distance Learning Institute, Abuja, where Channel Network Afrique monitored the exercise, candidates were on ground as early as 7am for the mock examination.
Some of them in a chat with CNA News commended the process saying the experience will help them do better in the UTME.
They also highlighted some of the challenges with the system.
Over 1.6 million candidates have been registered for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The UTME is scheduled to hold between 29th April and 12th May, 2023.
