The independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has assured of the safety and security of corp members that will be on election duty.
INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu gave the assurance during a meeting with the leadership of the National Youth Service Corp, NYSC,led by the Director General General Yushial Ahmed. at the Commissions headquarters in Abuja.
The INEC boss said the commission is working with relevant security agencies to ensure the election is peaceful and reflects the wishes of the electorates.
Earlier, the NYSC Director General Yushau Ahmed assured that the Service Corp will continue to work with the Commission inline with their Memorandum of Understanding.
The Commission further assured the NYSC management that corp members would be adequately trained in their various states of posting.
