One of the greatest challenge in the nation’s education system is the growing trend of out of school children. According to a recent survey by the universal basic education Commission,there are over 13 million out of school children in Nigeria. Of this number, majority are girls and reside in rural communities in northern Nigeria. This however may have prompted the decision by the United Nations children education fund to conduct a research in 2018 with key emphasis on impact of female teachers on girls enrollment and retention in school.
