Infrastructure deficit is seen as a major factor militating against Nigeria’s development since its independence in 1960.
To address this challenges, the Ashcraft Centre for Social Science Research, organized a summit on, Domesticating Stakeholders Statutory Responsibilities in Protecting Nigeria’s Critical Infrastructures and Assets.
Speaking at a pre-summit news conference in Abuja, Chief of Strategic Planning and Innovation of Ashcraft, Chiakor Alfred, said one of the most worrisome challenges to national economic development is the systematic vandalism and destruction of critical infrastructures and business assets.
He added that the summit is aimed at building synergy to enhance knowledge leadership. He further gave update on what the summit hopes to achieve.
Some stakeholders mobilized to the summit includes, National and States Legislatures, Statutory Regulators in divers sectors, Traditional Institutions, the Armed Forces and other security agencies among others.
