2023: NSCDC Collaborates With Other Agencies To Combat Electoral Violence.

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has indicated plans to deploy new strategies to tackle electoral related challenges and insecurity ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Commandant General of the Corps, Ahmed Audi said this at the 2nd Commandant General quarterly conference in Abuja.

The NSCDC boss said the prevailing security situation in the country informed the decision by the Corps to redouble it’s efforts in the discharge of it’s mandate in protecting lives and critical National infrastructures against new and evolving threats.

He restated the Corps commitment to work with sister agencies and relevant stakeholders to manage the risks thrown up by events leading to the upcoming election.

The NSCDC boss who also reacted to other matters of national importance revealed plans to establish a new squad with responsibility to protect transportation infrastructures.

The briefing also captured the exploits of the Commandant General Special intelligence squad.

The importance of intelligence gathering and cooperation from the public was also identified by the NSCDC boss as key strategy to winning the fight against insecurity and related challenges in the country.
