TCN, NISO Forge Stronger Partnership To Boost National Grid Stability
The General Manager (Transmission), Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region, Engr. M. K. Bello, recently received the Managing Director of the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO), Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, at the Regional Office during a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration in Nigeria’s power sector.
Welcoming the NISO Managing Director, Engr. M. K. Bello expressed appreciation for the cordial relationship between TCN and NISO, commending the organisation for its unwavering support and strong partnership.
He noted that NISO has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the sector by responding promptly whenever TCN required operational assistance or support.
The General Manager reaffirmed TCN Kano Region’s commitment to sustaining the existing partnership and providing the necessary operational support to ensure the successful implementation of the objectives of Nigeria’s electricity market reform.
Speaking during the visit, the Managing Director of NISO, Engr. Abdu Muhammed Bello, expressed gratitude to the Kano Region Management Team for the formal handover of the former TCN Regional Office to NISO. He described the gesture as a significant milestone and a testament to the cordial and mutually beneficial relationship between the two organisations.
Engr. Bello also reaffirmed NISO’s commitment to maintaining close collaboration with TCN in the collective pursuit of a stable, reliable, and efficient national electricity grid.
He emphasised that seamless coordination between system operations and transmission infrastructure remains critical to grid security and stability, adding that sustained cooperation is essential for improving power system operations and enhancing electricity service delivery across the country.
