Nigeria’s New Envoy To Trinidad and Tobago Formally Takes Office In Port Of Spain

The High Commissioner Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nigeria to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Jerrymon Samuel Manwe, has formally presented his Letters of Credence to Her Excellency Christine Carla Kangaloo ORTT, President of Trinidad and Tobago.

​The ceremony took place in Port of Spain, the capital city, marking the official commencement of High Commissioner Manwe’s diplomatic mission.

​High Commissioner Manwe was joined at the ceremony by Mr. Martin Nworie Eze, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mrs. Angye Dankaro, Minister Counsellor at the Nigerian High Commission.

​The formal accreditation process included traditional diplomatic customs: the signing of the Visitors’ Book, the official presentation of the credential letters, an exchange of gifts, and bilateral discussions on matters of mutual interest. The event concluded with the High Commissioner’s ceremonial departure, escorted by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service Mounted Branch.

​The update was formally announced in a press statement issued by Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for Nigeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja.
