The Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution (IPCR) has formalized strategic partnerships with five non-governmental organizations to enhance conflict resolution and peacebuilding initiatives across Nigeria.
The Director-General of the IPCR, Dr. Joseph Ochogwu, oversaw the signing of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Abuja, describing the collaboration as a vital step in addressing the nation’s evolving security and social challenges.
Commitment to Implementation
During the ceremony, Dr. Ochogwu emphasized that the agreements must move beyond mere formalities. He urged the partner organizations to focus on “measurable impact” and practical field application.
”These MoUs are signed today with the belief that you are going to do the work and impact lives,” Ochogwu stated. “We do not just believe in signing MoUs; we believe in activating the spirit behind them.”
The Director-General noted that as social conflicts mutate, the Institute remains dedicated to providing evidence-based research, policy advocacy, and direct interventions. He highlighted the necessity of innovative strategies and critical thinking to provide sustainable solutions to modern societal problems.
