Alhaji Muhammed M. Ghali has officially declared his intention to contest for the Bauchi Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, citing a mission to tackle the marginalization of young people in governance.

Addressing journalists during his declaration, Ghali stated that his candidacy is a direct response to the need for “positive change” across the constituency’s two local government areas.

He emphasized that his platform would prioritize the welfare and active inclusion of youths, women, and children.

“This is not the first time I have shown interest, but by the grace of Allah, this will be the last, because I am determined to win and serve my people,” Ghali said.

The aspirant voiced criticism of the current representation, alleging that the incumbent lawmaker has failed to adequately improve the living standards and welfare of the constituents.

Ghali framed his bid as a corrective measure, promising a more impactful approach to legislative service.

During the announcement, Ghali also expressed support for his political mentor’s governorship ambitions, describing the unnamed leader as a visionary partner in regional development.

Central to his campaign is a call for youth mobilization.

Ghali urged young voters to back his candidacy, noting that their support is the primary catalyst for his success.

He pledged that, if elected, he would establish frameworks to mentor aspiring leaders and ensure that students and women are integrated into the decision-making process.

Ghali’s entry into the race reflects a broader national trend of younger aspirants seeking to challenge established political figures ahead of the upcoming electoral cycle.
