Prof. Kana Highlights Experience Ahead of Key Primary Election

Professor Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, SAN, a leading aspirant for the Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has formally declared his readiness for the National Assembly, citing decades of legal, academic, and administrative experience as his primary qualification.

Speaking on his ambition, the former Attorney General and Commissioner emphasized that his career trajectory has naturally prepared him for the responsibilities of the Senate. With 25 years each in legal practice and academia, alongside high-ranking political roles including National Legal Adviser and International Secretary of his party, Kana argued that his background offers the practical experience necessary to serve effectively.

”I am a committed national figure, and I believe I have gathered the experience required for a role in the Senate,” Kana stated. “Beyond certificates and documents… I have gained practical experience serving our people in various capacities.”

The Senior Advocate noted that his campaign remains strictly focused on identifying and resolving the specific challenges facing the people of Nasarawa West. He described his journey toward the Senate as a culmination of a life dedicated to public service and the law.

Addressing his supporters ahead of the upcoming internal party polls, Kana urged for continued focus and discipline. He dismissed current political rhetoric as “noise,” reminding his base that the decisive moment remains the primary election.

”The real work will happen on the 18th,” he said. “I encourage [my supporters] to maintain the same energy, passion, and dedication they have shown throughout this campaign on that day.”

Prof. Kana expressed confidence in a successful outcome, reiterating his commitment to an issue-based approach as he seeks to represent the district in the upper legislative chamber.
