The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has called for a total overhaul of Nigeria’s security architecture, advocating for the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and advanced surveillance to halt recurring violence in Plateau State.
The Chairman’s remarks followed a high-level visit by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to commiserate with the people of Plateau State following the recent killings in the Angwan Rukuba area of Jos North Local Government.
A Call for Technological Warfare against Crime
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Abimbola Tooki, Professor Yilwatda emphasized that “routine outrage” is no longer a sufficient response to national tragedies. He urged security agencies to abandon outdated tactics in favor of modern, intelligence-driven solutions.
