The Nigerian Medical Association, federal capital territory chapter has raised concerns over the abrupt termination of the Public Private Partnership arrangement between a private medical group and the FCT.
Addressing a press conference in Abuja, the NMA FCT Chairman, Dr Enema Amodu called on the FCT authorities to have a rethink over the decision saying it will have adverse implication on the sector and residents who use the Garki Hospital facility.
Dr Amodu further made case for extension of the disengagement process to allow for a more effective humane transition.
The briefing also updated members on decisions reached at it’s just concluded 2nd ordinary general meeting with payment of hazard allowances to health workers in the FCT among other issues toping discuss.
The medical practitioners further reacted to the persistent fuel scarcity in the country and called on the federal government and the leadership of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation NNPC to do the needful.
