The National Population Commission has disclosed plans to commence fieldwork for the second pre- test exercise ahead of the conduct of the population and housing census. NPC Chairman, Hon. Nasir Kwarra gave the indication at a news conference in Abuja. He said the initiative is expected to provide opportunity to test all aspects of programmes lined up for the census exercise to ensure its outcome is credible and acceptable by all Nigerians.
The exercise which the the NPC boss noted will commence on Friday 3 December 2021 will be implemented in 148 logal government across the 36 states and the federal capital territory.
The Commission however solicited the cooperation of Nigerians to ensure the success of the pretest exercise.
