Just In: Tribunal Issues Bench Warrant For The Arrest of Justice Onnoghen
The Chairman of Nigeria’s Code of Conduct Tribunal, Danladi Umar has issued a warrant of arrest for suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen. Justice Umar after listening to the arguments of the opposing counsels, granted the application by the prosecution for an arrest warrant and directed the inspector general of police and the department of state services to execute the warrant. He also charged the security agencies to produce Onnoghen at the CCT, not later than Friday the 15th, for the commencement of his trial since all efforts to make him appear proved abortive.
