FG Begins Phase 2 Of COVID-19 Vaccination In 35 States,FCT, Makes It Mandatory For All Nigerians.

The Federal Government says it has commenced COVID-19 Phase 2 Vaccination in 35 States including FCT. Executive Director of the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency Dr Faisal Shuaib who disclosed this at a news conference in Abuja, while updating newsmen on the second phase vaccination update , urged citizens yet to be captured to take advantage of the Moderna vaccine presently been administered at all designated health facilities in the country. Those who have had their first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine were not left out as they were equally advised to do the needful. The NPHCDA boss further gave an indication of national outlook of the vaccination exercise. Shuaib also disclosed additional donation of 592,880 doses of Astrazeneca oxford Covid 19 vaccine to Nigeria by the US Government. The briefing was also attended by country representative of the world health organization WHO and United Nations Children Emergency Fund UNICEF who in their separate remarks advocated need for Nigerians to take advantage of the various vaccination programmes as initiated by the federal government. Nigerians were further assured of efforts by government to make the vaccines available across the country.
