The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is considering the possibility of reaching consensus among party stakeholders on those who would emerge leaders from the ward, local government, state and zonal levels. Secretary of the party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee Sen. John Akpanudoedehe gave the indication at a meeting between the states Caretaker Chairmen and the Caretaker/Extraordinary National Convention Planning Committee at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja. He challenged the Stakeholders on need to encourage consensus at all levels during the congresses. The need to ensure selection of adhoc official’s by the local organising committees is implemented in consultation with stakeholders in each state was also emphasized at the meeting. The Caretaker Committee Secretary further said that the Committee members are proud of the party leadership especially as it concerns boosting the ranks of the APC ranks with three serving Governor’s.
