Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu has urged members of the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Corps to harness the skills acquired during their national service to create businesses, generate employment and contribute to national development.

The Director-General gave the charge in a farewell message to the outgoing corps members, congratulating them on the successful completion of their one year national service.

He commended the corps members for their patriotism, resilience, selflessness and dedication, noting that their contributions to their host communities had left lasting impacts.

According to him, the community development projects initiated by the corps members and the lives they touched would remain part of the nation’s story and serve as an inspiration to future generations.

General Nadiu particularly encouraged the outgoing corps members to leverage the knowledge and practical skills acquired through the NYSC Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme to become entrepreneurs, create opportunities and serve as agents of positive change.

The Director-General also urged them to uphold the core values of the Scheme, including patriotism, integrity, efficiency, commitment, teamwork and self reliance, as they navigate life beyond the service year.

He further charged them to demonstrate leadership wherever they find themselves and contribute meaningfully to national unity, progress and development.

While wishing them success and fulfilment in their future endeavours, the NYSC boss reaffirmed the importance of service, national consciousness and commitment to the country’s development.
