NITDA DG Urges Nigerians To Scrutinise Tinubu’s Policies, Cites Need for Continuity Beyond 2027
The Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, has urged Nigerians to scrutinise the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration while acknowledging verified achievements, arguing that sustaining the government beyond 2027 is vital for consolidating ongoing reforms.
Abdullahi, who is also the convener of the Tinubu Must Stay (TMS) movement, made the call while declaring open the group’s inaugural training workshop for members drawn from the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja.
Acknowledging the economic hardship associated with major policy changes introduced by Tinubu since assuming office on May 29, 2023, particularly the removal of the petrol subsidy and foreign exchange reforms, Abdullahi argued that abandoning the reforms midway could undermine the sacrifices made by Nigerians and derail long term national development.
Speaking on the emergence of the Tinubu Must Stay movement, Abdullahi said the initiative was formed by citizens committed to promoting the administration’s record through facts, data and active public engagement.
Earlier, the Director-General of the pro-Tinubu group, Chief Marcel Ngaogbehie urged Nigerians to support the President’s re-election bid, citing reforms introduced by the administration which, according to him, are intended to improve the lives of citizens.
The one-day workshop sought to shed light on the policy direction of the Renewed Hope Agenda and was attended by leaders of the movement from across the country.
The workshop was held under the theme, “Empowering Every Nigerian to Be Heard.”
