Chief executive officers and heads of federal government agencies appointed by President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Forum of PBAT CEOs, a platform aimed at strengthening collaboration among agency heads and supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking at the maiden meeting in Abuja, the convener of the forum, Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, said the platform was created to promote collective leadership, policy coordination, peer engagement and institutional support among members.
According to Raji, the forum is intended to help agency heads align their institutions more effectively with government priorities, encourage inter-agency collaboration and provide a mechanism for showcasing the impact of programmes and projects implemented across government.
He said members had a responsibility to translate government policies into measurable outcomes and ensure that citizens were adequately informed about initiatives, investments and services delivered by public institutions.
Raji also highlighted reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange market reforms, fiscal and tax measures, infrastructure development and efforts to attract domestic and foreign investment.
He said the administration had reported progress in public finance, infrastructure, domestic refining capacity, education, housing, agriculture, healthcare and technology.
The forum’s objectives, as outlined in the address, include strengthening unity among agency heads appointed by the president, supporting implementation of government reforms, improving public understanding of policies, and identifying opportunities for collaboration across agencies.
Raji said the forum would also encourage members to engage citizens through professional and community networks while promoting what he described as lawful, ethical and issue-based participation in the democratic process ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He argued that continuity was necessary for ongoing reforms to achieve their intended results and said the forum would work toward consolidating achievements associated with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The meeting marked the formal launch of the Forum of PBAT CEOs, bringing together heads of federal agencies for what organisers described as a platform for strategic collaboration and national development.
