FG Reaffirms Commitment to Decent Work, Stronger Labour Relations .
The Minister of Labour and Employment, Muhammed Dingyadi has reaffirmed the present administration’s commitment to promoting harmonious industrial relations and advancing decent work standards across the country.
The Minister who gave the assurance at the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN), held in Abuja, commended the Association for its longstanding dedication to protecting the rights, welfare, and professional development of senior civil servants nationwide.
Acknowledging the current challenges confronting various sectors including economic pressures and technological disruptions, the Minister highlighted the resilience and professionalism displayed by labour unions, emphasising government efforts to prioritize social dialogue, seeing the Association as a dependable partner in matters concerning job security, labour standards, and productivity.
The Minister also reiterated his commitment to working with labour unions, employers, and other stakeholders to strengthen policies that promote decent work, protect worker rights, and enhance national productivity in a rapidly evolving global economy.
Earlier, in his welcome remarks, the National President, Association of Senior civil servants of Nigeria, Comrade Shehu Mohammed, outlined key achievements and ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening the Union and improving worker welfare.
The ASCSN leadership urged members to remain united and focused on the Union’s mission as it continues efforts to secure better conditions for workers nationwide.
