ADC Deputy Chairman Declares Self Interim Leader, Alleges Party Hijack By Outsiders.
A fresh leadership crisis has erupted within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Hon. Nafiu Bala, has declared himself the Interim National Chairman.
Addressing journalists at a press briefing in Abuja, Bala accused some former party leaders of abandoning their constitutional responsibilities and ceding control of the party to individuals with no legitimate stake in its affairs.
He described the development as unconstitutional and a direct threat to the founding principles of the party.
Citing relevant sections of the ADC constitution, Hon. Bala asserted his authority to assume the position of Interim National Chairman, stating that his action was necessary to safeguard the integrity and structure of the party.
The development marks yet another chapter in the ongoing internal wrangling within the ADC, raising fresh concerns about the party’s leadership stability ahead of future political engagements.
