Labour Party Moves To Sanction Abure, Issues 24 Hours Ultimatum.

The leadership crisis rocking the Labour party seems to have taken a new dimension as the party’s National Caretaker Committee, led by Senator Nenadi Usman, issued a 24-hour ultimatum to Barrister Julius Abure to defend himself or face disciplinary action.

This is as the party also inaugurated a disciplinary committee led by Senator Ireti Kingibe,the senator representing the FCT in the National Association to investigate Abure over alleged financial irregularities including criminal conspiracy.

Addressing a news conference in Abuja, Senator Usman criticized Abure for attacking the Labour Party and its leaders even after the ruling of the supreme Court.

The Nenadi Usman led caretaker committee further Passed a vote of confidence on the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 presidential election,Peter Obi and Abia state Government, Alex Otti for their unwavering support to reposition the party.

On his part, Secretary of the caretaker committee, Senator Darlington Nwaokocha explained why the supreme Court judgment put to rest questions related to the party’s leadership crisis.

The senator Usman led caretaker Committee assured the party members and supporters of their commitment to rebuilding the Labour Party as a true vehicle for national transformation.
