The immediate past Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, AIG Olatunji Disu has commended the media for professional reportage of crime related activities in the capital territory.
Disu who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police gave the indication at a farewell dinner Organised by the command for the media in Abuja.
AIG Disu appreciated the media for the unwavering support and proactive reportage of the security sector which he noted complemented efforts at ensuring zero tolerance for crime and criminalities in the capital territory.
AIG Disu further indicated that Policing is a shared responsibility and called for strong collaboration with the media to help combat crime.
AIG Olatunji Disu was appointed in October 2024 as the 32nd Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory.
