Nigerians Condemn Fuel Price Hike, Lament Gov’t Insensitivity.
The recent hike in petrol prices have continued to attract negative reactions from Nigerians. This is as citizens grapple with the escalating cost of living amid widespread poverty in the country.
In a chat with Channel Network Afrique, some Abuja residents expressed worry over the development, saying it has further rippled the economy, driving up prices of essential commodities.
They urged the government to rethink the policy, saying it will help reduce the cost of living and make life a bit more comfortable for all. Some of them hinted on repairs of the nations refinery.
The recent fuel price hike has seen petrol prices soar to record highs of between 850 naira and over 1000 naira across the country.
