The All Progressives Congress, APC, has dissolved the Benue State executive committee and appointed a seven-member caretaker committee to oversee the party’s activities in the state.

The dissolution was as a result of the crisis rocking the state chapter of the party.

The caretaker committee with six months tenure, is saddled with the responsibility of stabilizing the party’s operations and managing internal conflicts within the state chapter.

Speaking on the development, the APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, said the move was to prevent anarchy in the party.

Earlier, the Benue State APC Chairman, Augustine Agada, presented to news men an ex parte order issued by Justice Theresa Igoche, stopping the party’s leadership from removing him and his team.

The appointment of the caretaker committee and the court’s injunction highlight the deep-seated conflicts within the APC in Benue State.

The newly constituted committee is chaired by Hon. Benjamin Omale while Prof.

Bem Angwe will serve as secretary. Hon. Richard Mzungweve, Hon. James Ornguga, Hon. Terhemen Ngbea, Hon. Helen Agaigbe, and Barr. Ali Francis Adah are to serve as members.
