The Nigerian Police Force has arrested nine suspects in connection with the abduction and killing of six of its personnel during a special operation at Ughello, Delta State.
The Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun made the revelation at a conference with strategic Police Managers, held at the Force Headquarters Abuja.
IGP Egbetokun said the suspects are helping with investigations as efforts are ongoing to apprehend all the culprits involved in the heinous act.
The Police boss who reaffirmed the force commitment to the safety of lives and properties, also reeled out some of the achievements recorded in the first quarter of 2024.
IGP Egbetokun also added that the Force will continue to strive for excellence by being more proactive in its policing approach.
