The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike has placed a #20million bounty on two fleeing suspects allegedly involve in kidnapping and other criminal related activities in the capital territory.
Wike made the declaration during the parade of suspects by the FCT police Command in Abuja.
The minister who urged residents of the FCT to be patient as government is working to ensure the safety of lives and properties, once again restated the stance on zero tolerance to criminalities in the capital territory.
Wike further disclosed plans by the FCTA to gift the Police Command with state of the art security devices and gadgets to fight Crime and related activities in the nations capital.
Earlier the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, briefed the Minister on some of the achievements recorded by the command.
Some of the items recovered from the suspects, includes; 6 AK47 rifles, bullet proof vests, 1 locally fabricated walkie – talkie and 9 million naira cash.
