A member of the House of Representatives, Hon Anamero Dekeri has joined the Edo state Governorship race on the platform of the All Progressive Congress.
The lawmaker representing Etsako federal constituency in the 10th National Assembly said the decision to govern the south south state was borne out of the need to impact positively on the lives of the people.
Hon Dekeri indicated plans to give priority to Education, Economy and the social justice sectors if given the opportunity to fly the party’s flag in the September 2024 Governorship election.
The lawmaker as expected reacted on the issue of zoning in the state, saying the concept breeds incompetence in governance.
Hon Dekeri joins former Governor Osunbor, former minister of State for Budget, Clem Agba, Victor Eboogbe and others that have so far indicated interest to succeed Governor Godwin Obaseki on the platform of the APC.
