Poverty Allievistion: Senator Fadahunsi Trains 350 Constituents On Poultry Farming.

About 350 Persons have benefitted from the poverty eradication programme of the Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District, Francis Fadahunsi in Osun State.

The lawmaker while congratulating the beneficiaries in a statement on Friday, urged them to be good Ambassadors of Ife/ Ijesa Senatorial district.

Speaking on the reason for the program, Senator Fadahunsi said he has always been exhibiting unwavering love to help unemployed individuals before venturing into politics, describing the program as one of the ways to give back to the society that made him.

“Because I believe in you, my constituents, I personally facilitated various empowerment programs, in a bid to make Osun East, poverty free. Human Capital development is my major priority, every Youth and women of this Senatorial district must have a source of income.” He said.

Senator Fadahunsi who stated that poultry farming is a very lucrative business, noted that the beneficiaries can start their business with a small farm in their homes and in less than three months make money from it.

He said all the 350 beneficiaries will be given chicks, starter packs, feeds, drinkers, vaccines, crates and grants to start up their poultry farming immediately.

He added that, “There would be a post training follow up with more financial backing, stressing that there is a ready made market for the chicken in case the beneficiaries encounter difficulties in disposing them”.

Senator Fadahunsi further urged the beneficiaries of the skill acquisition program to pay attention to all they have learnt during the training with a view to maximizing the opportunities provided by the program.

The skill acquisition program is the sixth of its kind organized and financed 100% by Senator Fadahunsi in the last 50 days with about 2000 persons who have benefitted in last 6 weeks.

A beneficiary, Aluko Samuel,expressed optimism that his life would not remain the same after the training given the opportunities embedded in poultry farming.
