TETFund To Establish Entrepreneurship Hubs In Public Tertiary Institutions.

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFund has disclosed plans to establish entrepreneurship and innovation hubs in its beneficiary institutions across the six geo-political zones of the country.

TETFund Executive Secretary, Arc Sonny Echono disclosed this at the National Employability Programme Implementation Support Workshop organised by the Fund in Abuja.

He said the rationale for the workshop is to link the institutions with industry with a view to enhance entrepreneurship development, innovation and Employability inline with contemporary global best practices.

Echono who further restated the funds commitment to the implementation of recommendations from the employability benchmarking exercise, expressed optimism that it’s outcome would reduce the high rate of unemployment in Nigeria.

In his remarks, the IFC Representative Tope Togun commended the initiative and it’s potentials to build the capacity of Nigerian graduates to problem solvers.

The expectations especially from TETFund is that recommendations from the workshop will enable Nigerian tertiary institutions serve as catalysts for regional and national economic development by unlocking the knowledge potential to solve critical societal challenges.
