A Coalition of Niger Delta Youth Groups have backed the Pipeline surveillance contract Award initiative of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation saying it has impacted positively on the nations economy.

National Coordinator of Niger Delta Youth Congress (NDYC) Comrade Israel Uwejeyan, who made the pledge at a press conference in Warri Delta State, likened the deal to a proven game changer in the nations oil sector inview of the several achievements especially in the area of Pipeline security and curbing the menace of oil bunkering in the Niger Delta region.

The groups however made a strong case for the inclusion of the Isoko Ethnic Nationality in the Pipeline Surveillance contract deal.

They further raised concerns over the activities of some disgruntled groups bent on spearheading protests against the NNPCL leadership and the pipeline surveillance contract, describing them as dissenting voices in the payroll of oil thieves and bunkerers who seek to disrupt the progress already recorded.
