The new Acting Inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun has reiterated his commitment to flush out criminals and enemies of Nigeria from the country.
The Acting IGP made the commitment at the Force Headquarters in Abuja during the handing and taking over ceremony between him and the former IGP.
Egbetokun said he is aware of the enormous responsibility that accompanies his appointment, hoping to build a stronger inter-agency collaboration to guarantee internal security. On his part, the outgoing IGP, Alkali Baba in his valedictory message, expressed joy that he is leaving behind a better Nigeria Police in terms of value and general well-being.
It will be recalled that, Egbetokun was decorated on Tuesday at the State House by Vice President Kashim Shettima making him the 22nd indigenous Inspector General of Police of Nigeria.
