The Department of state services (DSS) has confirmed the arrest of suspended Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele.
The Service in a statement by it’s Spokesperson, Dr Peter Afunanya on Saturday confirmed that the embattled CBN boss is in their custody for investigative reasons.
The DSS however enjoined the public, particularly the Media, to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning this.
Emefiele was on Friday night suspended by President Bola Tinubu for reasons linked to ongoing investigations of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy”.
