The Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Universal Basic Education Board (UBEB), Prof Abdullahi Mohammed says it is his desire for every child of school age in the capital territory to have access to basic education.
Prof Mohammed gave the indication at a chat with newsmen in Abuja. The former university Don who just took over the leadership of the FCT SUBEB highlighted how he intends to deal with the out of school children challenge and ensure quality education in the school system.
He further used the opportunity to share his vision as it relates to ensuring a conducive learning environment for pupils and students in the capital territory.
As expected, training of teachers and curriculum development also top the FCT SUBEB boss agenda.
Going by his vision to reposition the state of basic education in the capital territory, Prof Mohammed said plans are on to inject more teachers in the school system.
