The Defence and Police Officers Wives Association (DEPOWA) has pledged support to the ongoing onslaught by the military against terrorism and other criminal elements across the country.
DEPOWA President, Barr Vickie Irabor gave the indication at the Association’s End of year party/Send forth in honour of past DEPOWA Coordinators in Abuja.
She said the gesture would serve as a morale booster to the troops and ensure they succeed in the task of restoring peace and safety of lives and properties in the country.
Barr Irabor also spoke on the achievements of DEPOWA including the establishment of the Social Intervention Programs, the Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD) Centre among others as part of support to the military as they proffer solution to the insecurity bedeviling the nation.
She further advised members of the association to remain committed to the mandate of the body aimed at showing love to the families of fallen heroes and the less privileged in the society.
Highpoints of the ceremony is the presentation of gifts to past DEPOWA Coordinators among others.
