Transporters Move To Support Tinubu’s 2027 Election Bid

The sector seen as the lifeline of the nation’s economy also has an estimated ₦3.5 trillion in extra costs to the Nigerian economy annually through logistics inefficiency.
To address these challenges, some individuals came together to establish a platform known as Transporters for Tinubu 2027 Support Group.
Speaking at a news conference in Abuja, the National Coordinator and Convener, Segun Obayendo said the group is aimed at bringing together over two million transporters nationwide to support and strengthen the vision of renewed infrastructure, better roads, safer journeys, and dignified work for all Nigerians in the transport industry.
The National Secretary, Chinwe Uwaegbute said over 90% of goods and passengers in Nigeria still move by road which puts immense pressure on the roads as well as increase accident risks while the rail and water transport systems remain underutilised.
The news conference with the theme “Transporting Nigeria Forward, Together also to promised to mobilize, educate, and galvanize transporters and transport stakeholders across the 774 local government areas in support of President Tinubu’s continuity agenda in 2027.
