The Nigeria Export Processing Zones Authority (NEPZA) and 20 other federal agencies have committed to integrating and adopting the Revenue Optimisation and Assurance Platform (RevOP) and the Federal Treasury e-Receipt (FTe-R) system as part of efforts to strengthen transparency and accountability in Federal Government financial operations.

NEPZA Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Olufemi Ogunyemi, disclosed this following a meeting held on Tuesday in Abuja involving the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, and the chief executive officers of 21 affected agencies.

The Revenue Optimisation and Assurance Platform, recently approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC), is designed to curb financial leakages and day-to-day fraud while advancing the financial transparency agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

Speaking through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Muhammed Sanusi, the minister reminded agency heads that the platform was established to provide comprehensive monitoring and recording of government revenues and expenditures.

According to Oyedele, 31 Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) have already been onboarded onto the platform, while an additional 21 agencies are scheduled for integration.

“Twenty one more agencies are to be captured next, as the government is working assiduously to achieve 100 per cent financial probity before the end of the year,” he said.

He urged the agencies to embrace the initiative without delay, noting that it would strengthen financial due process across government operations.

Responding, Dr. Ogunyemi said NEPZA was on course for full compliance, citing the authority’s robust digital financial management system.

“We are encouraged and feel responsible to align with RevOP.

It is particularly motivating to see the President providing clear leadership and taking responsibility for this critical financial monitoring system, which will help advance the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda,” Ogunyemi stated.
