The Institute of Business Innovation & Entrepreneurship (IBIE) has officially launched operations in Nigeria as part of a broader initiative to advance business leadership, research, and startup development across Africa.
Under the new expansion, IBIE will establish institutional partnerships, conduct professional training, and offer executive education, certifications, and business incubation programs. The institute plans to work alongside local universities, government bodies, private sector entities, and development partners to strengthen West Africa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Mr. Oru Leonard has been named Faculty Member and Authorized Representative for Nigeria. In this role, he will oversee national operations, including ecosystem development, research initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
Academic direction for the Nigerian branch will be led by Mahamud Hasan, Lead Faculty of IBIE. Hasan will oversee curriculum design, faculty coordination, and international collaboration.
”Nigeria is one of Africa’s fastest-growing innovation ecosystems, rich with entrepreneurial talent and opportunities,” Hasan said regarding the launch. “Through IBIE Nigeria, we are committed to building strategic partnerships, empowering innovators, and developing future business leaders who will drive sustainable economic growth across the continent.”
The institute designated Nigeria as its strategic regional hub to support high-impact startups and expand its cross-border collaboration network throughout West Africa.
