The Federal Government has opened the application portal for the second cohort of its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme, aimed at equipping Nigerian youths with practical skills, reducing unemployment, and promoting entrepreneurship for national development.

The programme, implemented through the Ministry of Education, offers six month and one year hands on training in accredited centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

Participants will receive a monthly stipend of ₦22,500, while those who successfully complete the programme will be awarded nationally recognised certificates, subject to strict attendance requirements.

The training will cover key subjects aligned with high demand sectors, including ICT, construction, agriculture, automotive technology, creative media, fashion, cosmetology, tourism, catering, and leatherworks.

The initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and Tourism to expand opportunities in the creative and cultural industries.

To ensure accountability, attendance will be monitored using biometric systems, and stipends will be tied to compliance. Applicants are required to provide their National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN) during registration.

Interested applicants can register via the official portal: https://education.gov.ng
