The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced an extension for the sale and submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
In a press statement released Monday in Abuja, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, confirmed that the party leadership approved the adjustment to the election timelines to accommodate further participation and administrative requirements.
Revised Deadlines for Aspirants
Under the newly adjusted schedule, the deadline for the sale of forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Prospective aspirants will now have until midnight on Thursday, May 7, 2026, to submit their completed documents.
Updated Screening Schedule
The extension has also necessitated a shift in the screening process. The party’s schedule for the coming weeks is as follows:
Screening of Aspirants: Friday, May 8 – Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
Publication of Screened Aspirants: Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The party did not cite specific reasons for the shift but emphasized that the adjustment applies to the broader 2027 election cycle. All aspirants are expected to comply with the new dates to ensure their eligibility for the primary contests.
