JAMB Releases 279 Previously Withheld UTME Results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released 279 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results that were previously withheld for investigation.

In a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the Board disclosed that the release followed ongoing investigations into suspected cases of examination malpractice.

According to JAMB, while some results were cancelled after evidence of malpractice was established, others were released after the Board found no prima facie case against the affected candidates.

JAMB stated that results from examination centres where its live monitoring team observed suspicious activities, or where adverse reports were received, would remain withheld pending the conclusion of investigations.

The Board added that any candidate found culpable after investigations would have their results cancelled.

Candidates whose results are yet to be released have been advised to check their status by sending “UTMERESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
