2027: Abure Led Labour Party Adopts Kennedy Ahanotu as Presidential Candidate

The Labour Party has adopted its National Youth Leader, Prince Kennedy Ahanotu, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 general election.

Ahanotu emerged through a consensus primary process, polling a total of 2,944,420 votes.

The party also unveiled governorship candidates in 30 states, alongside successful candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives, and State Houses of Assembly.

Announcing the outcome at a press conference in Abuja, the party’s Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Ayodele Olorunfemi, said the candidates emerged in line with the provisions of the Electoral Act and the Labour Party Constitution.

Olorunfemi urged the candidates to provide a clear alternative to what he described as self-serving leadership, stressing the need to prioritize the welfare of Nigerians.

In his acceptance speech, Prince Ahanotu expressed concern over the country’s security and economic challenges, pledging practical solutions to revive the nation’s economy.
