Do The Needful And Save Nigeria From Collapsing,Jega Tells Workers.

Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega, says the 2023 general elections will be the defining moment for Nigeria’s quest for true greatness.

Jega said this at the 2022 Workers’ Political Conference organised by the Nigeria Labour Congress in Abuja.

He described the election as critical for Nigeria’s unity and an epochal moment which could pull the nation from the precipice.

The former INEC boss who painted a gloomy picture of state of Affairs in the country warned that Nigeria is at the point of collapse due to the activities of persons he described as reckless in control of the governance process.

He said opportunities provided by next year’s general elections may be the ‘make or break’ epochal moment for Nigeria.

Organisers of the conference, the Nigeria Labour Congress,say they will resist moves by politicians to evade critical questions of national development in the run up of the 2023 general elections. NLC president, Comrade Ayuba Wabba in his remarks noted that the agenda of the conference is to reconstruct the critical bridge of issue-based politics that accommodates the interests of Nigerian workers and the people

The theme of the conference is “Commitment to National Emancipation and Development through Effective Engagement by Nigerian Workers”.
