Protesters in their numbers marched to the presidential villa gate in Abuja to register their grievances over alleged plots by some APC Governors to hijack proceedings at the forthcoming National Convention.
The protest was led by the APC Youth Development and Solidarity Forum, Yari Grassroot Support Groups and Al- Makura National Chairman Mandate Coalition.
The protesters who praised President Muhammadu Buhari for turning away two Governors who were said to have submitted a list of choice candidates for endorsement also alleged that the Governors are up to mischief solely for their selfish interest.
The Groups in a letter presented by their officials, Danelsi Momoh and Tobias Ogbeh, commended Buhari’s stance to ensure free, fair and transparent national convention.
They therefore delivered the letter to the President through his Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mallam Shehu Garuba for onward transmission to the President.
